$315 you could've spent on books towards better interpersonal communication.
$315 you could've spent on therapy. Therapy to make yourself better and to have gained some insight into yourself, thus bringing a better you to the situation.
$315 to invest in a sound future for you, or for that matter, the two of you, if it had worked out.

Call me the new-and-improved Unkie Trunkie, but here's the deal:
Your lesson, as I see it, is to be as excellent as you can be, always. This does not waiver whether you are with this girl, the next girl, or 17,000 girls down the road.
Excellence is a choice. Living well is always the best revenge, and the best way to find someone excellent (as excellence often seeks it's own level).
HOWEVER, one key to excellence is not being a fool.
9 bouquets of flowers x ~$35 a bouquet (and I find that conservative) = $315.

. . . the list is never ending. I'm not saying that you should NEVER buy flowers for a lady. But, you're rewarding rejection (IMHO). You were betting $315 on a prospect that had 2 strikes against it.
Like Kyra said, you're a romantic guy. No crime in that. However, you don't have to be a romantic fool. You can be a romantic hero; wise, powerful and present.
. . . and in the meantime, you can also be a degenerate perv like me.

$315 you could've spent on Eibach springs and a Rick's Voodoo shift knob. Yeah!
I was thinking money invested towards my upcoming tune... lol.
