Life After Death?
There are seriously endless questions.. Like for those who don't believe in a higher power, how did humans, the earth, the universe, etc etc originate and why?? Why are we here? What is the whole point of this?!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh, no more thinking at 4:30 AM.
okay, just another thought, we are at the top of the food chain right? Well just as we are at the top of the food chain on earth, having the most intellegence and such, is it really hard to believe that there are other people, "Gods" maybe, who are more powerful than us, and are able to influence our lives.. If we are far more superior than other animals, maybe there are other beings that are far more superior than us, it could be like a tier system that we go through when we die, this could just be one phase..
I'm thinking along the same lines as EvoVII. So many questions...
I believe in a higher power, but if GOD is the higher power, who created GOD?
There has to be intelligence in the creation of the universe.
Who's to say TIME has a beginning and an end.
I believe science is a critical part of our creation from our creator. So they should be used together. An example...the Big Bang theory...you need science;hence intelligence to have an explosion or chaos to come perfectly together to give us what we have today...it can't be a fluke, too many critical factors.
I have always been a believer of fate. I feel as though my life's program has already been prewritten. Why do I turn left instead of right when the stats show I should have turned right...that kind of thing.
I am a huge believer in spirits. A person is of good nature or bad. Isn't the premise of opposites embeded with our way of life ... black/white ... night/day ... life/death ... open/closed ... positive/negative.
Back to spirits...how is it you can look at a dead body in a casket and not see the person you once knew when they were living? What is missing? I say it's the persons spirit that gives them life. Why do we connect with some people more than others? How about that sense of knowing someone for a very long time even though you have just met them?
Why are we here? I don't know, maybe a sub species but regardless I think the good spirits will continue to do good on earth and the bad spirits will continue to be on the dark side.
I believe that we don't choose our spirit...just luck of the draw i guess. What I meant to really say is that our bodies are hosts and who we really are, are our spirits.
I am only expressing my opinion. I have an open mind and can respect others' points of view. This opinion is not an attack on any person or belief.
Peace

In truth, believing in science is also taking a step of faith. If you get down to the roots and the foundations, it's ALL based on faith as well.
As for God, He has always existed, noone created Him - He's omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent and that's why He's called God.

Evo,
They say that our Galaxy is always expanding. So much that we are starting to consume one of our neighboring Galaxy. Who really know how the universe started. All I know is that we will continue to expand i guess untill another galaxy consume us... or they say another theory is that at one point the universe will start to collapse back to one point and explode again in one big loop!

A good friend of mine is a former high school physics teacher. Yesterday he told me of a lesson plan he used for all high school science classes: 9th - 12th grades.
Step 1: Let them watch Carl Sagan's Cosmos
Step 2: Wait a week or two while they digest what they've seen.
Step 3: On one end of the chalkboard write the opening line of Cosmos, "The universe is all there is, and all there ever will be."
Step 4: On the other end of the chalkboard write Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
Step 5: Give them their assignment: Answer this question: Which of these statements is science, and which is religion?
