Oh, I don't disagree with that. But regardless of price, it is a solid performer with great RF, a large screen, and a slim profile. If I had to pay full price, I couldn't justify it either.
I originally had the V600 which I got from T-Mobile subsidized as part of a contract. A co-worker had the V3 but didn't like it so we did a swap + $50 to his favor. He liked the V600 because it fit his hand "like a glove" when he's holding it and talking. He got the V3 from myworldphone.com.
Cingular sells it for $500 as part of a contract. But if you're going to get it, I would buy unlocked especially if you're going to use it on another carrier. Places like myworldphone.com sells it for $600 and you could probably find something for less on ebay.
