I rarely do long rides any more, too many domestic issues to deal with. In season I try to bang out a hard 30 miler before work every day and if I'm off I might go for 50. I've heard that the Orbea Onix is very comfortable and before I bought my Orbea Opal had been told that they were brutally stiff but I've found it to be a comfortable ride. The Litespeed I'd been on for 14 seasons was a limp as a noodle compared to the Opal.

 

Nice bikes! I imagine there are so many good deals to be had on bikes in this economy. I just got back into biking last year (got laid off - had a ton of free time in the summer) and bought the Cannondale in my sig. Did a lot of trips from Downtown Boston to Waltham/Wellesley/Weston areas and back, mostly casual rides. I can't wait 'til the warm weather returns to ride again.
