Default New Integra - R

I was reading last night that the new Honda Integra R will have the same engine as the S2000 except it will be mounted sideways and be FWD. Although it is a nice looking car, similar to the new Celica from Toyota, it is still a tin top. Price over here in NZ dollars will be some 20K less than a S2K.

Do a search on the site - has been discussed before. Basically, the ITR (RSX-R) has a new engine that is not the S2000 engine. The iVTEC is different from the VTEC.

you have been mis-informed. whatever you were reading is absolutely false on the engine information.

The new DC5 Integras (RSX) will all be powered by some variant of the K20 line of motors much like how the previous ones were all B series engines. They are unlike any other Honda engine, they spin clockwise with the intake manifold in the front and the exhaust manifold in the back.

This is the new engine K20a ... Does it look the same to you or close to an F20c? I think not, definitely not.

Thanks for the most informative replies. The article I read certainly gave the impression that the engine was a S2000 one. Just goes to show how careful you need to be before making a buying decision. I am glad I found this site!
