Default Paypal not honoring payment method?

I've made 2 ebay transactions in the past 2 months and used Paypal both times. First time, it was for ~$250 and second time it was for $34.99. Both times I chose credit card as my payment method, but both times I noticed that the money was withdrawn from my checking account. I'd much rather get 1% cashback from my credit card, that's why I chose that method. Anything I can do at this point about it?

weird... I know Paypal always defaults to your checking account, but in theory you can pay with your card every time by selecting that payment method during the transaction... glitch in their system maybe?

They make it hard i've noticed to use creditcard, so maybe you accidently didn't change it to credit card at the right time?

You have to manually select the payment to cc.

read the last page again and reconfirm the cc. i believe they try to trick you so they can use your bank account. so they have less fees?

It defaults to your bank account. You have to change the payment method to your CC. When you try and do that, they highlight the button that KEEPS your bank account as the payment source in orange and make the CC choice button a light grey. Most people automatically hit the orange button, which does nothing.

Very tricky, PayPal and Ebay...

You'll need to change the primary and secondary source to come from your credit card. Make sure you press the apply changes and verify on the confirmation page.

I've never had a problem using a CC even though my primary source is, and has always been, my checking account.
