Where did you find that out? I noticed they changed the customer service phone number as well. Yesterday it was 1-800-883-6437, and it's changed to 1-800-719-8100 today.

And the name performancecenter is also changed to truckperformance.

i'm friends with people that work there. one of the employees is even an s2ki member.

unless they find a way to come up with magical funding, they're done. everybody was told not to come into work this week.

what did everybody order? we use the same supplier as they did for lots of stuff so i can see what i can do to get your parts quickly. pm me if anyone is interested.

Silver J

Can you check with your friends. We were one of their customers and they still owe us $992.82 for five orders that they took and never filled.

1) They could have easily refunded us, but they have not (we have been trying since Oct 23rd).
2) We called them the day before they closed down and asked why our orders had not shipped. They said they were installing a new computer system. ... hmm. some computer system - it operates without people or products, but still takes money.
3) We called some of their suppliers and found that they are also owed money.

It is one thing to close down in hard times. It can be done honorably and without stealing people's money.

Unfortunately, they chose to lie to key customers (we did a lot of business with them), and then run away with our money. I am sure we are not alone. If there still is a question as to intention, why is their website still up and ready to accept more orders. They have to still have access to the site because they changed the phone number, why not put up a "were closed" message.

Please tell them to do the honorable thing and refund our money. It will save us and them a lot of time with the DA and the courts.

unfortunatey that is an issue with the owner and the investor. the investor took over financially and hosed all of the employees including my friends by not paying them for the final two weeks of work, needless to say they are following the process via the state employment dept.

my friends are the guys who worked there and were stuck having to show up each day knowing that they were going to go under and probably have a lot of their customers never get their parts, it was a pretty crappy situation for everyone.

oh and performance center owes money to everyone big from my understanding, i feel bad for the companies that extended them credit.

i'll keep my ears open and if i learn of anything that can help you, than i'll pass it along

Thanks Silver J

I too feel bad for the employees who get shut out. I could not work at a place where I knew I was taking money for products that would never ship. If you want to PM me some of the contact information, we might be able to join forces with the employees and other suppliers/customers to get the money everyone is owed.

Well, at least they didn't mail me a drawing of a 7-leg spider back for compensation.

Thanks for the heads up!
