Problems with adobe acrobat

If I had the disk on me I would have but being a work pc I didn't. I've spoken to IT and they're bringing me the disk this afternoon for me to try that.

Turned out it was a problem with my profile. A friend in IT logged in and it worked for her so we created new profile for me and its back to usual.

It's gonna happen again eventually. Problem is, adobe leaves a copy of the pdf's cached in the temp folder which cause it to "freeze" when it gets full. The user thinks the pdf is not opening, so they try multiple times leaving more than one instance of acrobat.exe in processes. It's an ongoing frustration within our company.

Run the delete command periodically shown on this link from adobe.

I went through processes and killed it prior to trying each time because I found that it was running at ~100 cpu usage by itself.

I even left task manager open while trying to open it and made certain that nothing related was running before I clicked. And no I'm not one of those people that click it a million times thinking it will help

Have I missed your point?

Looking at that link I think that was my problem. I wish I had it yesterday so I could have tried it out but I'll send it on to my IT anyway in case it happens to someone else.
