REDBULL: bad for you?
I really don't see the issue with Red Bull aside from people overly sensitive to caffeine.
From the taste and contents, it's not that much different than the Lipovitan or other liquid vitamin/herbal stuff sold in small glass bottles over the counter for generations in Japan (or in small cases near the registers in Japanese supermarkets in the US). These are also marketed as energy drinks - good for sports, studying, extra energy for working long hours, or extra energy in the sack. I've never heard of any problems with the stuff - it's just megadoses of certain vitamins, perhaps some caffeine, royal jelly/honey, and some herbal stuff.

Redbull isnt redbull because of sugar. EVeryone thinks it is, but its not true. Redbull (look at the label, youll see one major ingredient)...is Taurine. 1 gram of it if I recall correctly. Taurine is an amino acid derived from bile. It stabilizes the nervous system (thus the wake up feeling). It also contributes to the excitability of muscle membranes. Taurine is not good in large quatities, expecially to women. Taurine in large doses can lead to epileptic seizures.
(I have a number of years in research and study in diets, substances (creatine, glutamine, etc etc...)so take this info as something concrete ....I can provide you with sources.

Due to the liability issues, no medical expert can actually give you any advice via web... or shouldn't because if anything were to happen to you, you can sue for malpractice.
However, a non-medical expert can give advice on anything...
just my 2 cents (and yes I am an expert on this topic, and am married to an attorney, and just came back from a conference, so I do know what I'm talking about)
