why are you guys even considering using this to take to work? if i had one i'd only use it for track or driving in country roads...and i dont think the chances of getting rear ended in a country road are that high but what do i know i live in the country.

 

I've seen a couple in person now. Seems like it would almost as safe as an ordinary car to me. Have you seen that cage construction? Pretty beefy.
