Standing too close in line

In the territory claimed by my two foot radius around me...
I guess this is kinda like the line in international waters. Every country (one) has a different distance they claim.

Not to rain on your parade but you did get lucky. If that was done to me I would have you in court. You can't go pushing people for being too close, there is no law about it and you are in a public place.
On topic. I feel the same way about people getting too close. I have found that a polite "Sorry, but I feel uncomfortable with you this close. Could you refrain from stepping on me please" works well.

Assault is the threat of violence or injury (and can be as simple as repeated attempts at contact, such as the OP dealt with). Battery is the commission of said violence or injury. If someone keeps touching you and you do not want them to do so, it's battery, plain and simple.
While what the OP did (throw the guy against a wall) seems more extreme, in the eyes of the law, he has only done exactly what the other guy did to him first. Battery does not have to be physically injurious - it merely has to be physical touch against the person's will. The OP was assaulted and battered by the person repeatedly touching him after being asked not to do so.

you'd really then enjoy a nice butt raping by the loss of a criminal or civil suit studly.
My point is this. You touch me. I then proceed to warn you. You do it again after I have expalined to you what will follow if it happens again. It's on. "Studly" has nothing to do with it.
I think it best to leave strangers alone and not touch them. Going around touching strangers is a good way to get killed.
All are hereby given public notice that I'm establishing a 2-mile public (pubic) space radius. This will be your only notice and it will be enforced arbitrarily and/or capriciously. You have been prophilactily warned.
