Hayabusa specs...

goes like hell (in a straight line)
won't turn
can't stop

Kind of reminds me of a Big fat LS1.

If you want to brag, I'd suggest trading it in for
performance bike-GSXR1000!

Hayabusa,

It's ashame you had to add your crap to a good thread. For once, people actually were having an intelligent car conversation about cars. Like my roommate said, take your talk and go somewhere else. Your SupraTT won't hold up against his Z28, and STOP talking about beating cars with bikes. It's a waste of breath. I have plenty of friends who can bring their bikes out and wup your ass so shut your hole.

Actually, keep it up, the moderators are good on this board and we won't have to worry about you for long. See ya, and since the S is so slow, get rid of it and have mom and dad buy you something else.

I wrote the above and then had to come back after reading some more posts. I felt compelled to write more because I could not believe the tone of your posts. You talk about how you would kill for your CAR (get a life!) and talk about how people are scared to say things to your face. Well, you sit here and talk idle threats and act like a big man with a small penis.

If you don't realize, you have some problems and should ask mom and dad to get you a good mental doctor. You need to get some help. And by the way, there are plenty of young people here that don't feel the need to brag about their possessions. So take your DB admin job (woopee!! and I bet you are a MCSE too right) and learn some manners and hopefully you will mature soon enough before you are vanquished off this board if you aleady haven't been.

Sorry for wasting everybody elses time with my rambling, just need to voice my opinion on this blow hard.

ERIK

PS - Big man with no name says enough to me. Can't wait till you bring this board down.

Roceye, you said it all, and Hayabusa-boy, you're just an idiot. Sorry, but every post I've seen of yours is bragging about that 2-wheeled bus you ride. Show me a sub-10 sec. timeslip, and maybe then I'll be impressed. Also, I recently sold an awesome 480hp Supra to get the S2000. Sure, it was faster in a straight line, but I don't let specs influence how much enjoyment I get out of something. So far, my S2K has been more fun than ANY cage I've ever driven!

Insomniak, you really should get a V8 if you're very concerned w/ drag racing...the S2K can put in some good times (if you make no mistakes), but you're starting w/ a great disadvantage (low tq.), limited upside potential, and a less robust drivetrain for that kind of abuse. A Vette is just so much easier to launch, that I'd bet on a slower one over a S2K given average drivers.

The SS is real fast but I'm surprised you found it to handle like a boat. From what I have heard and read the car actually handles pretty well for a 3400lb beast. It probably feels REAL big compared to the S2000, but I wonder how they really compare. Just found your comment interesting. I know my roommates LT1 Z28 felt huge the one time I drove it, and it doesn't handle as well as my S, but I have a feeling it probably handles better then I think it does.

Just a generilazation.. it does handle well for a 34000lb beast.. my friends '96 LT1 trans am actually has the bilsten upgraded suspension.. after i told him how unimpressed i was w/ the handling of the camaro i test drove.. he showed me how much of an improvment the bilstens are.. taking turns at 80-90mph and it holds fine.. but still its definately not a car that can turn on a dime.

I have raced a 2000 Z28 with an aftermarket exhaust from a stoplight and a Firebird Formula coupe when we were already moving.

Let me tell you something...it seemed to me that the Z28 was hard to launch because it spent too much time on the launch (too much torque). The guy knew it too because he started rolling a bit before the light turned green. I had one of the best launches I have ever done when racing this guy. I was almost dead even with this guy and ended up loosing by a bumper. On the track...I'm sure this guy would have killed me because of the surface of the track.

I while back, I was on the highway...and I noticed that this Firebird slowed down when he saw my lights from behind. I creeped up thinking he wanted to race. I wanted to get the jump on him so before my nose got to his bumper I shifted into 3rd and he did his routine. We took of like we stole those cars...at 130MPH I was scared and he was inching away @ a 2 car lenghts away.
