Add to that I don't think Subaru has made a 2 door since the SVX (Subies feel free to correct me).

My bad, there were. In 2000 and earlier. Don't know why they don't make them anymore though.

The GC8 STi had coupes in the range as well ... Then again, it's not that they don't make them anymore. It's they have not come round to doing so, it's the same concept with the STi coupes. They did not come or happen after some time or research and development.

I test drove one a couple of weeks ago. If you ask me, it's a hell of a lot of car for the money. If it were me, I would wait until next year for the STI version which is about as fast as an M3.

I test drove one today and I liked it. Though the shifting seemed like it was taking forever...that could easily be changed with an aftermarket short shifter.

As for the STi...theres still no word officially as to when or if they will make it to NA grounds. Though if it does I'll be there to put down a deposit. As for being able to perform with an M3...that I don't know, since I haven't ever driven either car

I still like the WRX. The looks, the performance...mostly everything. Though the interior needs some work, that can easily be changed. Theres a club I can join for the WRX and after six months I can get one at invoice which is a good price around here. I'm in no real rush to get one. But if I could get one now I wouldn't mind at all!

Soooo.... Call the Impreza ugly, will you?

Dare ye to feel the wrath of El Moderatore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright. So it ain't pretty. But you don't see the headlights from the inside. The car is actually very nice-looking with a few simple mods.

Performance-wise, it's amazing. You don't get AWD, a 227 hp. turbo and 20+ mm rear swaybar from the factory too often.
As for the STi, most articles and such say that it's expected at the end of next year, or sometime 2003. 276 hp., super-tuned suspension, all the STi goodies. $30k is the rumoured mark, but I'd expect it to be a few grand higher.

Bash the looks all you like, just don't get in its way.
