I have had service with T-mobil for over 6 years, but their customer service has gone downhill and they wouldn't let me modify my plan and were being dicks about my contract. Verizon is more expensive, but the best network by far. I am switching to Cingular because the company I work for will pay 35% of the bill.

It really depends on where you live. No one network can possibly be the best everywhere. In general, I think you're right but for me in Los Angeles Cingular has the best service (no dropped calls, no full towers [as in too many users connected at once so you can't connect], and I could reliably get service two floors below ground under 10-story buildings). My service was so good it was actually scary -- that's a lot of radiation they're pumping out.

Anyway, my point is just that everyone should lookup what service seems to be the best in their area and then take advantage of the 30-day return policies in case you don't get service at home or work or get dropped calls during your commute.

Blah every day with my t-mobile I wish I had stuck with Sprint. The sound quality blows, reception blows, the service blows.

It blows so much it sucks.

t-mobile:

i use them in the colorado area. third rate because:
-their billing plans are so complex even their customer service is befuttled
-they charge for in comming SMS, even if you dont use sms there is a reason why no charge here is a good; sms is the format that updates your phone firmware. sometimes it gets tangled up and you get charged for a few hundred sms messages you did not make.
-their phones sux and are old / ugly.
-there are holes in their voice coverage, even in the city. big holes in their data coverage.
-their parent company seems not to want to invest money into them so as a result they are the last to impliment anything new.

I had Verizon but switched over the T-Mobile over a year ago. The only downside for me was coverage, but where I live in the northeast, it really isn't a problem. The main reason for the switch was my sweetie pie lives in Europe and T-Mobile USA has SMS interconnect with all Czech Republic networks. Plus, T-Mobile has the most minutes per plan and whenever I visit her, my phone switches over to their GSM effortlessly.

T-mobile isn't great in NJ, I had it and of my 20 minute commute to work, I had service for about 4 minutes, I had to get rid of it.

i am in seattle and verizon got the best coverage here. well actually not just here. i was coming home from las vegas and one of the passenger had tmobile and i had verizon. and we werent taking big interstates cuz that's going around few hundred miles. verizon had signal pretty much anywhere.

anyone know what ampd mobile is about? i been seeing their ads on tv and checked out their website but not much of info there. my contract ended on tmobile so thinking switching to different company soon and i was considering ampd mobile.
