For the guys: You best be smart and start socking away a secret stash of money. Why? If something happens and you split with the winch, it won't be 50/50 . . .it will be more like 90/10 in her favor. Word to the wise.

 

 

I kind of disagree with the preneptual agreement... unless you were already established... then that's different. As for saving a little here and there, it'd be wise cuz that would suck to eat shit after 5-10 years of marriage and then get dogged.

That extra 1k a month or 250 a week, is 12k a year x 5 years is 60k or a modest 120k in 10 years but would be one awesome vacation...

Something that has worked for me all my life, "Women will treat you the way you let them treat you" . I have never dealt with the PMS, Psycho, wack jobs I read about. I don't go to chick flicks, I'm a dinosuar my needs are basic meet them and we'll all be happy. Girls have girlfriends for a reason, use them don't babble to us about things we don't care about. I have always dated really smart girls. I have no use use for morons or avg. girls. I can spot people with low self esteem and when I have dated them after a few dates they ran home to momma in tears. I'm in my late thirties now, been with my wife for 12 years we are both retired since 99. We have two little boys 5 & 3 to raise that is our full time job now. I didn't change diapers or get up at night and her car always was clean gassed and ready to go, mechanical things at home are my job and shopping is hers. I don't do laundry and she does not do handyman things. We have our well defined roles. She manages her stock options and finances and I manage mine . We dump a pool of cash in one account for shared expenses . That way she buys things she wants for herself the boys or me without the power trip over money that most couples deal with, I do the same. Has to suck to ask permission to buy things like alot of people do , kinda like they are children asking their "parent" for a trinket.
