I've had Sprint and Nextel (before they merged), and I'm not sure I'll ever switch from Verizon because I get reception almost everywhere. I moved into an apartment just outside a major metropolitan area a few years ago with Nextel, and didn't even get service in my apartment. I switched to Verizon the day after I moved in.

if u r worried about mail in rebates, goto best buy, same price but instant.

i like att better over here in seattle

i disagree with the post about "if u want internet to get a blackberry" this phone has full html and is high speed rev a whereas the blackberry is slow 2nd gen speeds.

if you arent in a big rush and feel you want vzw i highly recommend waiting for the blackberry thunder or bold if you want att

^^^ well ya then txting is ur only down point here. and like i said its not horrible, fyi im txting my friend right now, i txt alot and u just got to get used to it, as for the keyboard, its just for flash, its very difficult to use since the buttons are so small, u wont be fast w it unless u put a lot of time into it practicing, i dont use it at all...how many times do u txt a day? if its under 50 or so then id say ur fine, otherwise if speed is wut ur going for then stick with the generic phones..

another kinda cool thing is when u txt its completely silent (lol perfect for in class txting)

and i paid literally nada for the phone as my dad had a hookup

and as for battery life, you WILL BE FINE TRUST ME, it lasts for days without needing a recharge, probably at least 4 or 5 days if all u do is txt
the battery drains like nuts tho if you go on the internet or listen to music

i think that about sums it up...

hrmmm. most of the phones with the keyboards are hard to text fast on..

I go through 50-100 texts a day. I text more then talk. I like it for the fact of a 3mp camera as well.

i switched from sprint to verizon a few months ago.

I've literally never been in a place where I didn't get service. comparing it to sprint isn't even fair, like night and day.

Verizon has the best network...bar none. Their broadband cards for remote access blow everyone else out of the water too but they also support 'teathering' and that works well.

I'm so used to texting on my phone that when I get a phone with a keyboard I'm like WTF is this?

^haha ya but unfortunately i must admit cell phones w/ keyboards are faster than regular 0-9 button phones...and the word texting is extremely fast as well, i challenged my sis to a txt speed challenge and she massacred me with the word texting lol

and ya ive been thru a few service providers too and verizon is so good its scary

and veilside s2k, id say go for it, verizon has a refund policy if you dont like it, but like i said u just have to get used to it, all in all its a sick phone
