Years ago, Dave went w/ one of his friends when the genius came up with the idea of getting his tongue pierced. He said this guy's hand squeezed the chair handle so tight when that needle went through his tongue that his hand turned pure white! Personally, I think the pain factor is going to be outrageous. Do you handle pain well?
My cousin got his tongue pierced years back. His tongue swelled up so much he could barely breathe, let alone eat anything. It ended up getting so infected that he had to take it out.
For me, I couldn't handle it.

If you value your teeth, DO NOT DO IT!!
Years ago, I had a tongue ring, and I can tell you from experience, it causes very expensive dentist bills. Money spent on tooth repair, would be better spent on your S.
You WILL bite down on it (a few times), and eventually squish, or chip your teeth.
You WILL play with it in your mouth, causing the enamel on the back of your teeth to wear down.
You WILL be left with a hole in your tongue.
You WILL regret it!
