See to me that's like saying good looking guys/girls dont need sports cars. Why is one related to the other? Why cant someone just have some jewellery in their tongue? I dont see it as being any different then having an ear ring or eyebrow ring.

Gotrice Im willing to bet that your post is the biggest heap of that I'll read this week Perhaps your attempting to be humourous but if you were then I've missed it. Tell me, what makes you so pure? Because you dont have a piercing? Puhlease Give it a break with your generalising crap, thinking that because someone enjoys the art of piercing and tattoing they need your help is a great load of sanctimonious garbage

LOL, i guess the art of understanding sarcasm is absent in yet another thread.. excellent use of the word sanctimonious though, it is hard to find a good occasion to use that word.

IMHO, nothing says "trash" like a tongue ring or a tattoo on the ankle.

No, I actually wasn't left with a hole. I just have a small indent where the tongue ring used to be... not noticable unless you know to look for it (and nobody really looks THAT close to another person's tongue). I mainly just added that for shock value
In all reality, the tongue is one of the quickest (if not THE quickest) areas to cover itself over after a piercing. I believe it heals itself, and grows over within about 4 days.
My labret (lip ring) piercing grew over pretty quickly as well... but now I am left with a small indent where it used to be (which is visible)
My nose ring hole grew over perfectly, and shows no signs of a hole.
My upper ear is left only with a small scar on the back of the ear (no at all visible)
I do however still have both of my lobes done, but am considering taking them out. They have been in for 5 years, and the rings have never (not even for a minute) been removed. Does anyone know what kind of hole I will be left with, and how long it will take to grow over?

Luckily I have never had any regrets about my Tattoos (there are much harder to remove). My girlfriend had a Bumblebee Tattoo on her ankle, which she got removed. Now it looks like someone lightly rubbed a dandelion on her

At 19, and If I'm not mistaken half persian, a tongue ring would set you apart as the 'select few'... which is great, if you ask me...

...But I'm not sure you want to be apart of that.
