I didn't say I'm a fan of history. I said I like it the way it is! This isn't a supporting argument. It's just the way I vote. And I do believe "under God" will stand because our elected representatives know where the butter on their bread comes from.

Thankfully Supreme Court Justices are not elected representatives (not that they're right all the time, but they do a hell of a lot better job than the PAC money whores in congress).

What if some day some dudes from outer space came and said "Jesus was one of us, you are now ready to join the Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan Armada..."

In virtually every native American civilization religion was central to the social and political organization, and they fared pretty well till the Europeans arrived and slaughtered them.

(Anybody for increasing the defense budget? )

so you're saying anyone and everyone who theorizes that Jesus and some of the things in the Bible was related to beings not of this planet are on dope?

take our technology today and bring it back 2000 years, i'm sure it'll seem god-like to people back then.
