thats waaaaaay off, my car has $9,000 worth of damage, and his looks nothing like mine, and i was t-boned.

I'd say $3,000, but no $6k, maybe the whole paint job would cost another $2k, but his damage is very minimal.

He wants to paint entire car, $4,000 dollars:

A body shop could estimate 3,000 just for the damage to the rear. I had a small fender bender a few years back, They replaced the hood, straightened the front left fender, replaced the bumper and painted it. They charged my insurance company $8,000 dollars

You know what, you are right. I am WAY off, it's probably closer to $10,000 dollars in damage

as long as their is no frame damage or axel damage ill be ok. i do need some parts though. i figure its going to cost in the 6-10 g range to fix. its a body shop though, im sure they will tell insurance something different though. its a corrupt industry.

i definately need new:

headlights | front bumper | rear bumper | emblems | trunk | amuse | driver fender

plus i need stupid things like a 3rd brake light, some wiring, support braces for the front bumper, possibly new front tires, and possibly a driver side rocker pannel if the undercarriage is damaged.

ill know more tommorrow, but ill know a whole lot more by september i bet. this guy does his homework, but it takes time. he guarenteed me a new amuse.

the damage looks very minimal, but in person its a lot. they have to pull some dents also from the trees.

If the police report isn't the way you want it. or the way it should have been. Because i can bet the cops just wrote whatever they wanted. You can have it amended.. it takes awhile... But its worth it if you don't want to get screwed with your insurance...

don't let them win
