the cure to constipation is to gulp down a couple of glasses of water while sitting on the toilet. the water quickly travels down to your large intestine where it softens up the stool, making it easier to exit the anus. people laugh at me when i tell them that, but it works.
Kind of hard to get a glass of water with your pants around your ankles, dontcha think? And I can't imagine the stares I'd get, taking a bottle or glass of water into the bathroom at work.

I am drinking a lot of water, period, though. I am personally raising the shares of Ozarka through my water drinking.

15 minutes on average for me. Why rush through such a wonderful and carefree time?!! Enjoy every minute of it!

Who here washes after each time? I either shower or wash the butt with soap after each time. Is that unique? Do many people only wipe?
i think that's an asian thing. my mom used to yell at me to wash my butt up until i was about 15 yrs. old. my friends still make fun of me... they'll say "crystal, did you wash your pek-pek?!" pek-pek = tagalog (filipino) for poon-tang. my mom is strange.

dude, when you're convinced that you're constipated, then pull you pants back up, go find a water fountain and begin gulping down about 20-32oz of water as fast as you can and go back to the toilet. or you can take a large bottle of water into the bathroom with you and gulp that down. drinking a lot of water throughout the day is fine, but when you're sitting on the toilet constipated, a sudden flush or water into your large intestine will soften up the stool. the large intestine is where water gets absorbed. this is the reason why the longer a person holds poop inside them, the greater the chance of constipation. this is because your body will continue to absorb water from your stool when there's no water around. your meds are probably causing your bod to absorb an abnormally high amount of water, and that is why your stool is dry and you're constipated.
I was somewhat joking and really don't feel like discussing the texture of crap right now. Suffice to say, I'm drinking a LOT of water and still get constipated. What comes out isn't necessarily hard/dry, either. My diet these days is impeccable - lots of fiber, lots of veggies, some breads, and not much else. No cheese, no heavy meat, no large portions (I'm a light eater either way), etc, etc.

No convincing was needed that I was constipated - I was drinking as much as possible but my body can only hold so much. I was literally peeing every twenty minutes (a LOT) and it wasn't making a difference. That's what was so frustrating.

you're missing my point. you need to drink the water while sitting on the crapper. otherwise, it just gets absorbed and you end up pissing it out.

So a toilet automatically causes your body to not absorb water?

If I'm sitting at my chair all day, doing the same thing (sitting and drinking water), what's the difference?

Seriously, I am confused here. What does sitting on the toilet (versus sitting in my chair most of the day) have to do with when and how water is absorbed?

I am wondering the exact opposite. Every now and then when I'm on the crapper in my office, some guy will come in and literally set the world crapping speed record. Shit, wipe, and out in under 1 minute. I can't count how many guys wipe their ass once and leave (If I wanted to keep track).. I'm convinced half the people in this world are walking around with shitty asses.

Is you a doctor or is you a non-professional but knowledgeable person? What you say makes sense but it seems that if I'm CONSTANTLY drinking, it should not matter. The stool will always be wetted because I am constantly pouring water down my gullet faster than my body can absorb it.

Just curious.
