Member since 1993 and no problems, for myself or my family.
The only time I've been to a BoA was with a friend two weeks ago, where they put a 7 day hold on a check he was cashing. He was trying to start to transfer funds from an account he no longer had access to, minus, the check, and could not pay for car insurance, cell phone, etc.. for 7 days.
See how the horror stories work? Mines true, as well as yours.

There is a new process that the Federal Reserve Bank has been working on to decrease the time and cost of customers receiving their money; the process is titled Check 21 http://www.privacyrights.org/fs/fs30-check21.htm This process allows a depositor to receive their money sooner that older methods. Thus the check clears faster than ever before. Althought the check would not have cleared today, the bank was just covering their ass.
I do however have a complaint against WF; when I bought my car the guy I bought it from had it financed through WF. WF took over a month to get me the title and then mailed it to the wrong location and I had nothing but trouble and even had to purchase a temp tag since the title did not make it in the alotted time I had between buying the car and having to purchase the tag.

Personally i hate B of A since they screwed me multiple times with over drafts and did not prevent charges being made to the card that were fraudulent.
