What Miata owners think...
but you know what sucks? I was driving the other day with my friend Chris, and I waved at another Miata while driving the S2000. Chris said, "you aren't in a Miata anymore." I was thinking, "Sheesh! Just trying to be friendly and not so elitist!"
I still enjoy the Miata, but not nearly as much as the S2000. I'll be selling it soon and leaving that part of me behind.

unfortunately, I gotta sell it. Or else, I'd have two red two seater convertibles. Its a 94 R model. The first year of the R models, where only 500 were built.
The spec racer looks cool, and I'll certainly throw it over to Chris, who once had a 93 and now has a 99 SE Miata. My Miata will probaby be sold to his gf in the next month when she returns from vacation.

I don't know what kind of bashing they are doing over there. I don't think I'm interested either.
Miata has been perfected over the year.
I'd take it over TT and Z3 any day. If that's not enough of a compliment for the car, they might need that ego check.

I owned a Miata ('92). Bought a Turbo for it.
Decided I was better off buying something new, considered a Z3 2.8, '00 Miata, '00 Boxster, '00 Boxster S, and of course the S2000.
All, IMHO, are great cars with certain limitations at a wide range of price-points.
The S2000 is hard to beat for looks, performance, price, depreciation and exclusivity.
A Miata is hard to beat for looks and price; a roadster experience and great handling at a real entry-level price! Many, many performance upgrades available.
The Boxster S is great looking, and great performing, depreciates very little, but is pretty pricey compared to the S2K. Of course if I took more out of Nasdaq to buy the $22K more Box S, it might have been a bargain in retrospect!
The Z3 2.8 was just too sloppy for me, handling wise and depreciates FAST, and the Boxster non-S was just not fast enough...
