at least 220km/h in a VN Holden Commodore. I say at least, cos that's where the speedo clocked out at. It wouldn't be much more then that, though, maybe 225km/h (which is around 140mph according to google).

Oh, and as a passenger in an Evo 5 or 6 (can't remember), went up to (I think) 250km/h (around 155mph)

At 100, the Stang felt like it was going to shake apart...at 130, the S2000 felt like it was going 90!!

 

125 in my previous car 2003 Audi A4 between SF and LA on highway 5.

Next time on 5 again, I will try the top speed on my S2000.

 

Pulled out to pass a group of 4 cars on a highway, so I hit it hard....The highway was new with real wide shoulders....long and straight here in Texas, so I stayed in it after having passed the group. Was going too fast to check the speedo, but knew we were flying because I was deep into 5th gear. After we got to the lake, my girlfriend was smart enough to remember that we had been using the Garmin Legend GPS on the drive up, and it has a screen that shows the maximum speed attained!

At the drag strip, I have to shift into 4th right at the speed traps or hit the rev limiter, and I run 11.89 @124mph, so top of 3rd is right around 122 or so....

 

Just a reminder to those who will try to top some of the posted top speeds, please be careful and do not try this on any public roads!

 

148.9 mph in germany on the autobahn as registered by a gps device (so probably 157 on the clock ish) I know it would go quicker but I messed up and forgot to turn the AC off on that run.

one time in germany I hit 184 (per GPS) on flat level ground into a head wind. car would not go any faster after 3 miles, so I stopped.

 

Back in the high school days, it was 81 mph in the family's 1964 VW bus. It took 6 miles of WOT on the freeway for the 56 hp engine to crack 80.
