What's the fastest you've been in a car?
I had a 91 turbo eclipse with light mods...pegged the speedo at 145, probably doing about 150, was about 6000rpms, supposed to be geared to about 167 at 7000? Did 155 on my Honda CBR954 once...then it started to rain. I've rarely been past 100 since then in like the last 2 years...just kinda seems pointless I guess once you do it one time.
134+ in a Ford Prode GT windows down on inter state ( topped out i think)
115 on a Nija 250...that was a 250 mind you
Most fun was driving a client's Ferrari 360 Modna Spyder. Didn't see top end, but didn't have to. It was amazing!
Never figuered the s2k for top end, but saw several pulling 150ish. Nice to know!

funcar, a Twin-Turbo Nitrous Testarossa? Did that happened to be built by Norwood Ferrari and owned by JohnC? That is the only Ferrari I've ever heard of that has the specs you mentioned.

You must be a car buff. I haven't even thought about Norwood Farraris in a decade or more and I am A Farrari freak!
147 in any Farrari is tame though. Most stock ones from 84 on pull that effortlessly. A Norwood would have required clearance from FA! Or run at Bonneville.

171 mph on the 5 North Freeway just after the Marine Base in Oceanside here in San Diego, CA. The freeway straightened out for a little and he stomped it! It got up there very very fast. He got off it reason being that the freeway was starting to curve. It was also early in the morning on a Tuesday, no traffic around at all. What kind of car? Family friend 2005 Mercedes Benz SLR, silver w/red & black interior.
152 mph with the top down (in my S2K) on the 15 south here in San Diego, CA. Once, never again.
Kind regards,
Joe
