As men get older they start to gain weight, as they do this they freak out about it and naturally start to eat less in an effort to keep the weight off, this confuses the body into storing the fat they do eat, and internally attacking the muscle they have when they don't eat (since the body prefers to get it's energy from muscle as opposed to fat). The ass is a huge source of muscle.
