"Why does everyone want tips in Vegas?" you ask?

Perhaps because they can get them.

[quote name='PrimoGen' date='Dec 30 2008, 04:59 AM'] At Berns Steakhouse here in tampa (very high end eatery) servers must complete a 1 year training and 2 year apprenticeship before they can serve on their own.

I worked in HS and had a friend that ragged me for my spending habits (I bought things). While in college, he bought a Samurai sword off the internet for $200.00.

It didn't take three days of ribbing before he returned it.

i tip when people are looking. and dont tip when people arent looking. tips are bullshit.

they should go the way of the american auto industry. unskilled, uneducated labor deserves no more than 30k a year. servers should be lucky to have a job.

Drawing an arbitrary line in the sand are we? Is this to fulfill The People's demands according to the 5 year plan Mr. Stalin?

That said, I do applaud you for stating that tips are bullshit. It is imperative that the workers deny inconsistent and arbitrary fringe benefits to create the equality so needed to seize the means of production.
