Why does everyone want tips in vegas?
I tip when my hair gets cut. Typical i tip 5 bucks on the 15 dollar bill. Becasue they cut my hair GOOD. They could do a half assed job ... then i wont type them.
As for someone hailing a cab for me... I dont want him to do this service for me. I dont care if it is illegal. I dont want his help...I never asked for his help.
106k a year??? They make more money then I do (considering USA-CAN exchange rate). I need the money more then they do hahahahaha
Thats funny that Canadians dont tip well. It does not surprise me.

You may think he's making too much money. . . but at the same time; look at it from Management's point of view: he's the first person from the hotel you as a guest will meet. You want that first impression to be VERY good: not too pretentious, very attentive, detail-oriented, and (in the case of a casino) the ability to recall hundreds (to perhaps thousands) of high-roller's faces.
Remember, this ain't a Wal-mart greeter.
Just to put it out there, in Asia, the cultural norm does not include tipping. Tips are actually refused and may be insulting. The mentality is that the worker's description to give 100% customer satisfaction by going above and beyond at all times. A lot of restaurants have become a bit westernized in recent years, though, and has a space for tip on the receipt. It's kind of a shame.
