yea. they cost a tons too.

try www.pricewatch.com for pc part and you'd be suprise how low it gets.
It's supply and demand, there are parts out there, just not enough demand for it. Mac users don't tend to play with hardware, so the prices for aftermarket parts are going to be pretty high. We understand that they're not for you, but you really don't need to keep ripping on Apple as a whole.

i just hate the fact that JOBS is overcharging their component. i realize that the cost to develope for mac is expensive since their user base is limited. but thats their achilles' heel also.

i have to admit their gui is bad ass and many pc win xp emulate that with dock xp.

pc is just more open and versatile than mac. that is why i hate mac.
and i do tons of surfing and mac just blows at it. the window size is annoying. i can't switch between programs without delay(millisecond delay is annoying once you're use to fast pace environment).
hardware maybe, but the OS and the programs, no way. UNIX brings another world into computing. it has a simple outside, but complex and intuitive inside. stability is it's middle name.

what window size? i don't need 1280x854 safari windows. who does?? you'd have half a page of blank shit on the right side. photoshop isn't even a window. it's a bunch of pallettes and your work. you can customize those wherever you want. my adium list docks right into the left corner. i have quicksilver for quick app finding, all i have to do is type "word" and enter and microsoft word opens. and you have a dock? use that to your advantage dude. you can put all the programs you need and you dont even have to minimize your windows. you can customize folders, like the photoshop feather is a folder that contains all my adobe creative suite pgorams, and the yellow thing is all my microsoft office programs.

and switching between open programs? expose is your friend. i have mine programmed for my scroll wheel click and the application switcher button. move the mouse to the right hand corner and i get the same effect.

sorry for my aggrevated attitude. it happens when you're stuck in a computer lab full of mac os x that you dislike and it is the only source of online communication to the s2ki world.

my monitor only cost $1700, and it came with a nice speedy computer too plus it's kinda portable at 5.7 pounds?
