i do heavy 3d graphics and video editing. and the mac doesnt have the size of space like a pc would have. (please no. firewire is too slow compared to sata.)
500GB is kind of enough if you need all of that space for teh pr0n

Yea I don't get what he means either. Last time I checked XP's UI is pretty simple minded too...
S2000boi - do you only deal with OS 9 in your support job?

firewire 800 is your friend. and trust me, it is fast enough until we have 1.0TB videos to transfer.

I agree, parts aren't available like they are on the PC. The 3D market on macs are not craptastic. If you look at the newer Apples, they use just about the same hardware as PCs. They support both the ATI Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce (slightly different name tho) families of GPUs. Just because you can't go to Fry's and buy parts, doesn't mean the exist or is crappy...it just means there isn't demand for it. And that's what it comes down to. Most people with Macs don't tinker with their hardware, so there isn't a need for entire stores full of Mac hardware.
try www.pricewatch.com for pc part and you'd be suprise how low it gets.
