the lack of software mac has and how late it is in the market for mac to get support.

give me anything you use for PC that isn't available on Mac. We have the Creative Suite, Maya, Final Cut Pro, Motion, DVD Studio Pro, and Studio MX. Microsoft Office, AIM, MSN Messenger, it's all available for the Mac OS. If by software you mean games, then obviously not, but if it's any quality game, it'll come out for Mac, although it takes a while to port it. if you need a certain thing, you can go to macupdate or versiontracker to look for shareware/freeware. if you need something, it'll most likely be there. the good thing about Mac is that there are a lot of loyal guys who write for the Mac OS such as the creators of Adium and Candybar.

i do heavy 3d graphics and video editing. and the mac doesnt have the size of space like a pc would have. (please no. firewire is too slow compared to sata.)

firewire 800 is your friend. and trust me, it is fast enough until we have 1.0TB videos to transfer. 500GB is kind of enough if you need all of that space for teh pr0n

you're leading back to price vs performance ratio. we've agree that mac are overprice for what they do.

I agree, parts aren't available like they are on the PC. The 3D market on macs are not craptastic. If you look at the newer Apples, they use just about the same hardware as PCs. They support both the ATI Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce (slightly different name tho) families of GPUs. Just because you can't go to Fry's and buy parts, doesn't mean the exist or is crappy...it just means there isn't demand for it. And that's what it comes down to. Most people with Macs don't tinker with their hardware, so there isn't a need for entire stores full of Mac hardware.
yea. they cost a tons too.

try www.pricewatch.com for pc part and you'd be suprise how low it gets.

i can't get the parts cheap like pc can. with mac. u have to buy apple brand stuff to get good quality. 3rd market stuff for mac is craptastic.
last i check, the interior of the computer is almost zero apple. the chip is either IBM or Motorola, the video card is ATi or nVidia, the CD-RWDVD/Superdrive is Matashita , the Harddrive is Toshiba, the RAM is Samsung, and the displays are Samsung. hmm..
