I met up with a friend of mine who has the prev shape WRX and we did some tests. It's actually quicker than I gave it credit in the 1st place but I started a new thread called "S2000 vs WRX runs" - look for details in there.

Gosh, the old body style is so much better looking. I understand the new fender flares are necessary for the rally car (homologation and all), but they looked tacked on the newer car. Really too bad.
