I wanted to ask you guys - when you get your oil changed, do you do it yourself? If not, where? Synthetic oil? And how early should I do the first oil change? I know Honda recommends 7500 miles, but should I really wait that long?

I've heard synthetic oil is preferred, but you should wait until after 10,000 miles to start using it.

I know, I've got crazy amounts of questions, but I care for my S2K enough to want to treat it RIGHT. So I thought I'd ask.

I have Four Star change my oil every 4 months or 4,000 miles using Mobil1 10w30 and the regular Honda oil filter 15400-PLM-A01 (not the S2000/PCX filter).

 

Thanks for the info! Mike, there's a lot of information on that link, so yeah - some of it gave me more questions than answers. But some of it was quite good. I was mainly interested to find out what people locally have done with their S2Ks, when the first time they changed their oil was, so forth.
