Default Local trusted shops / tuners

Im fairly new to Oregon and the my MY04 S2k without local knowledge or sources just yet, could I get some advice on where to a safe, safe and reliable shop to take the vehicle to?

I have no need for anything at this time however future plans may include "go fast" parts supplier and installment. Basic maintenance, valves, fender rolls (more or less things I can't do in my garage)

Im located in the corvallis area if that helps however have no issue road tripping to the right place.

Welcome! Many can chime in here on what shops that they have used in the past. For basic maintenance, Paul Nix would be a person that I and others on the forum trust working on our car and nsx. He's the master tech at Honda of Salem. Other shops are Adrenaline Racing (AR Racing) in Lake Grove/Oswego good guys but are a little expensive. Other shops that others have used are PRE on Airport Way in Portland and Rhomm Innovations (primarily a race car shop) John Grant who works there used to part owned Tracked Forged, he himself does good work for the s2000 owners. There are others in the area but I will let others vouch for them. I believe there is also a tuner shop in Eugene, that some of the owners on this forum like.

Good info. Are there any specific recommendations for where to get a custom flashpro tune in the Portland area? I'm close to PSI but not sure if people have had good experience with them?

PSI as long as John Reed is still doing the tuning there.

Good to know. Would PSI also be recommended for a valve adjustment or is there a different shop in the area with a good track record?

If it was me for valve adjustment, I would go to Paul Nix. Another option would be Chris May at Tonkin/Beaverton Acura. Ken who is an S2000 owner, works there as their service advisor and can help set you up.

I wouldn't use PSI for anything other than tuning or turbo/supercharger installations. It would be a bit of over-kill to use them for standard maintenance.

They're known for shoving turbos into Lotus Elise cars and other crazy stuff.

John Reed is the guy for tuning in the Portland areal, IMHO.

Paul Nix is the Master Mechanic at Honda of Salem. Chris May at Tonkin Acura is the closest in the Portland Metro area. If you need other options, I'm sure there are others that can chime in.

Good luck!
