Hate to just jump in but I plan to run 11.7 j's pistons in my car, if i didnt wanna tune couldnt i just do a 00-01 jdm ecu? Since jdm s2ks have 11.7:1 ne way? orwould i run into valve issues???

yep! 11.7:1 jdm, 11.1:1 US, 11.0:1 Canada.

Thats one of the main reasons in the power difference from ap1 jdm and usdm ap1s. Our's were rated @ 239 while jdm were 247 bhp aka 250 ps!!
