If not for the information and eye openers in this thread, I would have just bought those dang things off the rack. This thread was a real help to me in this. We have such a diverse spectrum of expertise here, it's great.

If you guys ever want to know how to dispose of radioactive contamination, let me know.

I'm afraid this part is a bit trickier.

This appears to contain a wealth of info. Didn't have time to read the whole thing but it might help.

Seriously, it is a real website... You could order a plush radioactive monkey, they're cheap, and if it was female, "she" might lure him away...

Oh and I also found a poem...

Radioactive Monkeys
by

Martin Mundt

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One thousand radioactive monkeys, said the Soldier.
No army could defeat them.
Ten thousand, said the General,
and no army would even dare them.

One hundred thousand radioactive monkeys,
said the Emperor, to surround my throne with glory.

Two, said the Student. To compare one to the other,
so we might learn from them.

Just one, said the Priest.
Simplicity in all things.

The Zen Master shook his head, saddened.
If the Idea of a radioactive monkey is insufficient,
he said, then even a million would not be enough.

Isn't Google great?! I love lunch hour...

Well, where the Heck were you at the start of this thread?
Actually, Nimesh, Dell only has up to a 30" LCD at the moment for about $2000.00.
As this thread progressed, it was brought to light that Daytek had a 32" LCD for $1300.00 so this was a no-brainer. However, being the TV fanatic that I was, I just had to have something bigger. Currently, Samsung has the only one near the size I want for a price I can live with. As they get bigger, they get disproportionately more expensive. Had you told me earlier that Dell is planning to release a 40", I would have waited to see what price those would be. Too late, mine's coming.

Samsung lists retail for the 40" at $4999.00. I have a connection with Corporate sales division of an electronics store who gave me a price of $4000.00. In their store, they had it posted on sale for $4799.00
I almost did a deal for a floor model at London Drugs for a Panasonic 42" plasma but they insisted that I take the stand as a package deal. I didn't want or need an $800.00 stand. This was enough to hold up the deal till I contacted Visions. And the rest is history.
