I have a feeling it'll be out soon though. the HD box I have was about $450-500 last year when it came out (the one with a DVI port), and now its down to $250~ - and they're not making it anymore.

So that seems to tell me they'll have a new version (probably with HDMI), and possibly a PVR. I also seem to remember a press release in regards to their PVR coming out
About bloody time...

Wow, that'll debute at $600, which is $150 less than Shaw's unit. I hope this starts a price war. I'll bite when they get under $500. Maybe by Thanksgiving?

It does make me a bit angry that my regular HD box from Bell cost me $450 last year, and I had to commit to a 2-year deal to get that price.

How's the new tv working? My house deal finally closed, going to go buy it in the next few days. I hope that coupon is still on.

The more I watch it, the more I love it. Though, I do want a good SD/HD digital source now. I'm beginning to realize exactly how bad analog TV signals really are. And hooking my laptop up to the LCD is fantastic. Even video ripped at 520x260 blows my mind.

Still waiting for the Samsung. I've got all my cabling and even have new shelving to re-arrange the PVRs. All dressed up and no place to go.

Picked up my daytek today. They also had a Sanyo 40 inch LCD for $2999. I almost jumped on it, but I reminded myself that this tv is going in my bedroom, and took the 32 inch daytek.

I haven't turned it on yet, just unboxed it real quick to make sure it's all in one piece (I'm moving this week). I'll get it hooked up on July 1st at my new place

Damn! Now I'll have to go take a look at this. What did you think of it?

ps. The Sanyo site doesn't even show a 40" LCD set.

pps. The Costco site doesn't show it either.

I got hosed on my monster cable DVI cable... $180 or so for 2 metres (whatever A&B 's regular price is on it)

I guess they needed to make up for the fact that I got my Sony TV at cost + 3%,
monster cables are too overpriced. I went to radioshack to
get some component cables and they only carry the monster
cable brand. For a 6Ft comp. cable their price is $129.99.
As soon as I found out how much they are, I bolted and went
to Best Buy to see if they have better price, NOPE they're
$134.99. I finally ended up shopping at walmart and found
a 9ft comp cable for $28.99 made by Philips electronics, goldplated
connectors and shielded cables.
