Front License Plate
Moving up to CSprings in august. My Oklahoma tags are good through december, but then I'll have to smog and tag the car in CO.
I know CO requires front plates (OK does not). How many of you run a front plate? Will the police pull you over just for not having one? Or will they just give you a ticket for it if they pull you over for something else? And how much is the fine?
So many questions!!! Sorry

not many of us run front plates. one guy still registers his car in florida. so if you can keep it in OK i would do that so you never get hasseled. cops don't look for it unless you give them a reason here. i got a ticket for speeding and he didn't check my lack of a front plate. good luck brother.
I have had my S2K for 13 months and without a front plate. Also have run my MG and Austin-Healey for many years without the front. Never a problem. I would suspect that if you were stopped for a major infraction, like doing 80 in a school zone, the cop would tack on everything they could.
registration:
the cops will troll some of the larger work parking lots looking for out of state plates but this is infrequent. after december i would change over. you will need proof of insurance, vin inspection (some offices do them or emissions stations), emissions results, etc. every county has their own auto registration office(s). on these matters it helps to attempt to stay under their radar.
emissins:
a company AirCare does the dyno emissions check. they will hassle you if you have none oem wheels and stuff, visual inspect your cat, look for any engine fault lights, they connect to your odb2 plug. every 2years. most none modified cars dont have a problem passing.

I don't have a front plate on any of my vehicles. So far no problems, I've been stopped in my Prelude with out a front plate and the police man didn't say anything.
They cannot pull you over for no front plate, it is a secondary offense. Hope this helps.
