Default side diffusers installing problem

Hello. I am the process of installing side diffusers but I can not find any information on what is the recommended method to attach it to the underside of the car. i read some people use double sided tape, which I will use to reinforce it but not as a primary method. what other ways are there. do you guys drill holes or do you use the premade holes with the rubber cover?

second question. the material i plan on using s 1/4" thick. there is a spine (lip of metal whatever you call it) which contains the jack point that extends 3/4 to 1" down. therefore, should I space the diffuser lower to make it flush with the spine?

thanks,

Some people drill holes, some people use double sided tape.

I'd not space the diffuser lower since you might damage them when jacking your car up.

Just some plain old self tapping screws work! I used those as well as 3M tape
