Acura TL-S brake caliper upgrade thread

Is anyone running TL-S calipers without shaving the ears off? I went with stock TL-S as is. Aerogenics made me spacers and TL-S custom rotors that are hub-centric for the S2000. I find myself not finding any wheels that fit over these giant brakes!
Any clues as to how much spacer is needed for AP2V1 wheels without shaving the ears off? What's the BBK friendly wheel that works with stock TL-S calipers that only have bigserts to make them fit?

He hasn't shaved off the 7mm. His TL calipers are unmilled. He is using custom rotors that are made to match the offset of the TL caliper bolted directly to the mounting ears. So he needs 7mm MORE wheel clearance than a typical TL on S mod. So if 25mm spacer is needed normally to fit stock wheels, he needs 7mm more than that, so something like 32mm!
I'm guessing 30mm might be enough, as people probably don't need exactly 25mm, but rather something more than the 20mm spacer, and 25 is just the next size up. But I don't know of any 30mm spacers, so either way, it would require something custom, and it would probably be pretty sketchy going out that far. Not to mention fender clearance, etc.
If a custom hat was being developed, did you investigate mounting the TL caliper to the other side of the mounting ears? Then you'd end up with a hat with much higher offset, and way more wheel clearance. Instead you started with a much larger caliper with much less wheel clearance, then made it worse with custom hat with way less offset.
Has anyone ever investigated that? Mounting the TL caliper to the opposite side of the mounting ears, closer to the inside of the car, then seeing if a rotor with needed offset would have clearance? Then its just a matter of looking for a parts bin rotor with the correct offset (and correct diameter and width and hub bore), or a custom hat for a two piece rotor.

Hello everyone.
Are there any problems driving with the brake calipers mounted with the bleeder screw at the top and therefore the large piston at the bottom?
I don't make trackday, can there be problems with braking and brake pad wear when driving on the road?
Recommended brake pads for road use?
I think the standard Brembo pad are good for braking consequently the 4 pumping calipers and the low weight of the S2000....
Thanks
