Although I did search for this, I really didn't find what I hope someone here can answer. Three days ago during the commute home I had to make a "hard stop" at highway speed (65-ish) locking up all four wheels. Since then, I am getting a grinding noise coming from what I believe to be the left front. The strange this about this is, it doesn't happen all the time. In fact, it didn't do it at all yesterday. This morning, no issues at all until I was about four blocks from work. At city speed (maybe 25-30) I caught a red light and eased to a stop, but the noise was horrible. A block later not a thing, nor any sound the rest of the way to the office. I would think if there was an issue it would happen all the time, or at least give some hints. Anyone here have any thoughts? Thanks.

The hint was that the noise only occurs on braking.
