Default Is this normal?

I am changing out my springs and was just curious as to if the holes where the upper a- arm mounts on the front suspension were suppose to be larger than the bolt going through. It really allows for a good bit of movement. Also the bolts themselves look odd, kinda grooved. Again maybe this is totally normal, but I wanted to be sure the original owner didn't put in the wrong bolts when swapping bushings and cause wear.

Other side looked the same, so either both sides are messed up or it is totally normal.

That looks like the correct bolts, they are grooved to keep them from seizing up.
As long as you torque them to spec I don't think there is any possibility of movement.

Ok thanks! Kinda what I figured, I just wanted to be sure. It seems to me that with the amount of play camber could really be effected when unbolting/rebolting the upper a arm.

Remember that the suspension should be loaded when torquing up those bolts.

Yes! Is there any need to loosen any of the others that I didn't have to loosen to remove the shock? I think the others are all adjustment bolts that will be adjusted when I get an alignment.

No you don't need to touch them, but if they never been removed it might be a good idea remove and grease them up.
It's very common that the lower bolts seize up and need to be cut out.

that is a real Honda bolt with the grooves on it. Honda makes some really excellent bolts that are pretty pricey.
