Those who have 00-01 S2000s... Would you be more interested in a component system if it was in "kit" form - this would included sunk tweeters in brand new A-pillers and the appropriate woofer adapter for the door?

 

Lucid, I definitely prefer to think that improvements I might make can be returned to stock. I'm not planning on getting rid of my car anytime soon, but I just think that if it were to ever come to that, being able to return to completely stock would definitely make things easier....

 

Tom, I feel the same way. A piller tweets seem to be a good solution for 00-01 owners and I'm trying to feel out via this poll.

Once you cut a door panel for a tweeter it has to stay. If you buy a premium component system you most likely want to take it out if you ever sold your car.

I know owners who install their own system can cut the holes and mount the tweeter and also make their own MDF speaker adapters but it all comes down to skill and time.

That's a fantastic idea. I did my install myself (have had my fair share of practice over the years ) and would love to have some a-pillar replacement trims for the tweeters of my Focal Utopias.

 

I have my MB quarts mounted that way. I think its a good idea Jim...
