Default 16 gauge for sub?

Hi guys, i have a kicker zx460 4x25w amp. Two channels are hooked up to the front speakers while the other two are bridged to power a L7 Solobaric @ 2ohm i believe. I was short on cable and really wanted to get the installation done so i used what's left of the speaker wires i had, which was 16 gauge.

Question: Is it ok to run the sub with these wires?? PS im not sure how much power the amp is pussing out, bridged.

the WRMS and the current are the two big things that determine if bigger wires are needed. Google the amp with the model number zx460, and it should send you to a site you can buy one from and see the specs. You really need the output to determine the size wire.....also run a search on here about wattage wire sizes....somthing should come up with a link to a calculator. Enter the wattage (WRMS) and it will give you the size.

My guess is that 16 is too small....I have 10G for my sub, and its only 283WRMS from my amp.

just a calculator if you need one but you'll first need to find the output of that amp at bridged 2 ohm
