honestly? i don't know if you understand the difference between peak and continuous (RMS) watts -- but i'm thinking your amp never sent 400 Wrms to your sub.
this might help explain some things:

umm.... 8W7 heh? jeez, you'd best hope Dave doesn't wander in here... he'll tell you exactly what he thinks of the 8W7...

The 8" W7 is a big POS. How do I know....well, lets just say I have enough experience with a W7.
They are boomy, more inefficient than a basketball player with no legs, and JL customer service is horrendous.
Do yourself a favor, and get something else. Id take the new Rockford over these things anyday.
:RANT OVER:
According to PG, the bridged side can go down to 2ohm bridge(according to their instructions), and the load placed on that was wired to 1.0ohm.. So in theory i was giving it too much power.. Correct?
you might want to try wiring it in series and see how it reacts.
if you plan to use that Xenon for the sub only, you could easily bridge 4 channels into 2, then wire each set of channels to 1 coil. (ie, 1 bridged pair per voice coil.). that would give you something on the order of 400 Wrms to the sub.
hope this is making sense.

no... the amp is only rated to 2 ohms bridged, and you were running 1 ohm bridged? i'm surprised it wasn't shutting down on you. you should have wired them in series. the Xenon amps are like that... as long as you're in their impedance range, they output the same wattage. i honestly do not know how it will function out of the rated impedance. it may shut down, or just pull back power.

The installer who did the sintall, did a bad job. Looked nice but all the wiring was hackjob.
I dont want to hook, up the amp entirely to the sub. It powers my front stage aswell.
The Xenon sub is a pretty solid sub, so something was definetely wrong. It can push more than enough for an s2000. Sounds to me like the installer screwed something up. A friend of mine has a Xenon in his RSX, and it does pound pretty good.
