I'll let Modifry fill in the details but I spoke with his esteemed self the other day on a related matter and it looks like the prototype is functioning nicely so it's mostly the logistics of production that are delaying it at this stage.

I'm eager to keep this thread alive, but I realise that the venn diagram of enthusiastic support and nagging have a large mutual region.

Has it been confirmed that this will work with MY04? If so, then count me in for one.

I thought I'd update this thread since I've been quiet for a while.

I will do some testing on '04 cars after I'm done with the module for earlier years. I only need to verify how the gauge works (how many segments, etc) because the sensor/ECM circuitry is the same.

What's holding things up at this point is simply my lack of time. If "somebody" hadn't started advertising "Modifry's Mods" in a banner ad this project might have been finished already, but I've been holed up in the basement making DCI's, Glove Box organizers, etc. for the last few weeks trying to catch up. I expected sales to slow down as the weather cooled, but "somebody" wanted to punch up a slow sales month and it caught me by surprise.

I'm still running the prototype in my car and it's been working fine. I only need to make 2 changes to it for production:
1. Correct a software glitch where it hangs if the coolant temp is cold
2. Increase the resolution to .001 volts from .01 volts.

I hope to find some time after Thanksgiving to get this done. If so, I should be ready to release units in early December.

Pretty cool. Thanks Modifry for taking this project on.

All this R&D you're doing costs money. "Somebody" just wanted to make sure you had plenty of it

Any news?

I'm tempted to call for an embargo on Modifry's mods until this one is added to the fold.

So you're the guy responsible for the sales slump over the last few days? I might have to make up for that lost income next time you order something.

Heh, Modifry, here's an odd question for you, but is there any way that I can use the device to drive a temperature display for my OIL temperatures (I currently use one of the AEM EMS EGT inputs to monitor my oil temps using a sensor mounted in my oil pan)?

Honestly, given that I've got this huge aftermarket radiator/oil cooler, I'm less concerned about knowing when the car is overheating (which, given recent track datalogs, seems highly unlikely) than when my oil has heated up to operating temps.

To my mind, oil temperature is a far better indicator than coolant for determining when things are sufficiently warm to beat on the car.

Thanks,
CB
