[QUOTE=cbender,Nov 30 2004, 11:26 AM]Doesn't sound as if it'll work, then, as my oil temperature sensor reports across a 0-5 volt range.

I'll assume this is a request for an update?

I sincerely apologize but I'm behind schedule. It's not that I'm having any serious problems with the unit itself, I've just been busy lately. Between work trying to close out all the 2004 projects and building DCI's on the weekends it's been a little hectic. On top of that my daughter is in town for 3 weeks, with my new grandson (! ! !), so I've been spending time with them. I'll let you know after the first of the year.

Hi Modifry,

Love the photos! Thanks for sharing them. Congratulations and enjoy this time with your family and new grandson.

The Saelig product is pretty nifty. If I had more motivation/concern, I'd mount one of these in the dash somewhere to track oil temperature. Given that I use the laptop for datalogging when I'm on the track, however, it's probably not worth the trouble. The more I run the car with the current cooling setup, the less I worry about either ECT or oil temperatures. The readings seem pretty robust. But thanks for pointing it out to me.

Best,
CB

Thought I'd better post another inane smiley just to keep this on the first page and maintain the pressure on Modifry.

just a quick question about all this. So the signal is only not making it to the dash cluster correctly, but the signal can be read if you have a 3rd party digital meter that reads from the ECU correct?

You'd be better off just taking the signal from the sensor before it gets to the ECU.
