Money no objection I would go with a CDA-7969, an MRV-T407 and a set of DDC-F17C speakers.

I have the last two, and can assure you they are worth every penny. The DDC-F17C are particularly outstanding, and although separates not a difficult install at all (I did it myself). You can see some of the pictures of my speaker install at http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?...85469&f=0&sp=25

Well, just to give everyone an update on my side. I did get a positive response back from the same UK dealer that Barry contacted with, and I guess Shaner as well. I am waiting back from them on how I also can order this. And they did confirm that the only cable I would need is the KCE-865B. But they also could not confirm what the diferences are from the European Head units and the US head units.

Is this where the Alpine adapter plugs into? Just curious...

I wouldn't know anywhere else a wired remote (that's all our dash controls really are)could plug into...

BTW, this is the back of my CVA-1005... it's identical to the back of my IVA-C800 which is in my Stook.

Hi guys, I'm new to the site, but I'm really interested in the audio changes. Does anyone have that Alpine unit that has a screen that comes out and then flips up? That is the one unit I'd really like to spring for... If you can email me info like price, and if it fits to schweeps@aol.com, that would be awesome.
_thanks

There are three Alpines that have the screen: IVA-C800, CVA-1005, CVA-1003.

Shaner has the IVA-C800 and the CVA-1005. See above post.

Luis,

You are 100% correct... it will not fit in the stock location. I cut a new hole for the C800 and put a 6-disc changer in the stock head location...

shaner, you are a magician!

I'm glad you're in on the KCE-865B thing. If it can be made to work, you'll do it!!!

Shaner,

Are you using it for navigation?

Do you have more pictures? One with the unit closed, and another that takes the whole dashboard in?

I would like to free up the current radio location for gauges and if it looks right I could use your solution. BTW, I have noticed that in Japan they use that location for their Navi system.

I have a new dashboard and am re-installing everything to make it look 'more stock'... I will post a ton more pictures then. Yes, I am using it for navigation... the DVD navigation box (NVA-851A) is under my seat...
