Default ALPINE Headunit not working properly..

I'm not sure the model..but its about 3 maybe 3 yeras old...its the Alpine deck that angels...normally with this deck you can control the bass and treble by the push of a button...but when I press the button the bass comes up..but when I spin the dile (the one that works for volume) that would normally increase or decrease the bass nothing happens..I dont have the manual..so I cna't look in it..

I'm wondering if I hit some sort of preset that locks out tuning features..the mx button deosn't work either..I tried pullin the fuse to reset the deck but that didnt work either...any suggestions??

Need a more indepth description than that. Almost all Alpine HU's havee the treble and bass control through the volume knob. Picture would also help.

It should still work. As far as I know there are no by passing on it for those features.

BTW there are about 12 HU from around that model year that had the angle faceplate option The model number is on the face of the deck itself.

It may be similar to the "tone bypass" function on some Clarion Proaudio decks, that allows an un-processed signal to be produced by your head unit.
