yes, you can attach a cd-changer to the IDA-X001.
for the DCI, head to www.modifry.com
not only can you get the DCI, but you can also get an Alpine plug-in-play wiring harness, which is about as easy as it gets. no splicing necessary.

I will purchase the part and if I do have problems with the installation.
