ive heard various good quality systems, just not in my car yet. for the price i paid for the system i bought im not complaining at all. theres always more time to upgrade in the future
Again, yo. Check my sig.
I've been through THOUSANDS of dollars in systems I've tossed out. When I built the one in my S, I put in what I wanted the first time around - even though it meant waiting 5 months for my subwoofer. Same thing when it comes to the truck install - done right the first time is less expensive than upgrading every 2-3 months.
My first car I ran Sony HU, Xplod amps, Pioneer 12"s. Only had the car for 3 months or I'm sure I would have put far more $$$ into it.
In the truck, I've had no less than 6 diff HUs (Kenwood, JVC, 2xAlpine, 2xEclipse), 5 diff subwoofer setups (2x12" PG, 2x10" IDQ, 2x12" IDQ, 1x12" Bazooka (back when they made real subs, not just tubes) and a few others), I don't even know how many amps (Coustic, Concept, Bazooka, Audison, Eclipse (PA/DA series), and 6+ door speaker sets. I learned my lesson.
The only upgrade the car has received was a switch to an active x-over setup (2-chan to 4-chan amp, and that only cost me $150 after I sold my 2-chan) and the subwoofer upgrade (because I blew my IDQ12).
The truck install will have a pair of SI Mag's, a Sundown 1000W, 2x Sundown 100x2, Eclipse CD7100, and undecided on door speakers as of yet. Regardless, the door speakers I choose will be well suited for the truck.
None of that will require upgrade later - even if it costs more now (and I have to buy the parts one bit at a time and pile them in my spare bedroom till I have everything together).
